Vision Studios Icon Awards 2017 in Caleb University is coming to you live on the 2nd of December this Saturday. This is an award serves as a platform for young people to showcase their talents and it's also about appreciating and motivating talents in Caleb University. I was at the Icon Awards preparation/rehearsals on Saturday 25th of November and to be honest O was impressed by everything they did. So I decided to interview people on their thoughts on the Vision Studios so I'll be sure it wasn't just me that was impressed and believe me they felt the same way. Meek Mill has been sentenced to between two and four years in prison for violating his parole with two arrests, one for fighting and another for reckless driving. According to the Guardian,  the Philadelphia rapper's real name Robert Williams  has been on parole since autumn 2009, following a spell in prison on drugs and weapons charges. In March this year, the 30-year-old was arrested after a fight in St Louis airport and in August he was arrested on a charge of reckless driving. Although both charges were later dropped, the judge said the arrests violated Mill’s parole. He was immediately taken into custody. Jay-Z was among those who reacted to the sentencing. Expelled student of Redeemer's University, Debo Adedayo talked on what led to his expulsion by the varsity authorities. Debo Adedayo who happens to be the student leader of the institution revealed that the 'Vice Chancellor' was angry because he didn't receive any award.  Debo Adebayo had an interview with Punch. According to Punch, Adedayo is an actor, entertainer and also former President of the Redeemer's University Students Association. He is 24 years old and hails from Ikija town Ogun state. His father Mr. Musa Alao Adedayo, a journalist and his mum Mrs. Dorcas Adedayo, an educationist. He is a muslim. Debo Adedayo belonged to the theatre arts department. At least 59 people have been confirmed dead in the Las Vegas shooting and 500+ injured. A lot of them were carried in wheelbarrows and trucks to the hospital till the ambulance arrived. Stephen Paddock who opened fire on over 22,000 people at a festival, was said to be found dead prior to the police arrival in his room. Police report that his death was due to self infliction with his gun and also they found an arsenal of guns in his room. Stephen Paddock Parents are being separated from their children due to this shooting, some lost their children. A gunman fired from a Las Vegas Hotel to a huge outdoor concert festival on Sunday night, sending thousands of people fleeing until SWAT units found and killed him. More than 50 victims died, and at least 200 others were wounded, officials said, making it one of the deadliest mass shootings in United States history. According to  The New York Times ,the attack at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino was being caught on video and it showed the singer Jason Aldean performing outside at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, a three-day country music event, interrupted by the sound of automatic gunfire. Happy Independence day to all Nigerians nationwide and around the world. Nigeria doesn't need division in her present situation. Nigeria gained her independence October 1st 1960, on a day like this 57 years ago the United Kingdom set aside to grant independence to Nigeria as sovereign state. According history the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Ahmedu Bello and others orchestrated the independence of the black Nation. On the day October 1st  1960 which was on a Saturday, Nigerians gathered at the Tafewa Balewa Square (TBS) to witness and partake in the celebration. The events was only celebrated in the western parts of the country as other parts of the country also celebrated this wonderful day. After the US President vowed to "totally destroy" North Korea if it poses a threat to the US or its allies, the North Korean leader branded Trump "mentally deranged" while his foreign minister remarked that Pyongyang could consider a hydrogen bomb test of an unprecedented scale on the Pacific Ocean. Nigeria’s agri-business in the sorghum cultivation is now among the world’s leading position at number two after the United States of America, USA, which is the number one world’s leading producer. Sorghum is a local grain grown predominantly in the semi-arid, savannah and grassland areas of Northern Nigeria and other parts of the world. According to  Vanguard , inquiries showed that the world sorghum production is forecast at 59.34million metric tonnes in 2017/18. A breakdown of the data, obtained from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), showed that USA’s output is projected at 8.4m metric tonnes while Nigeria is following with 6.4m metric tonnes and Mexico in the third position with 6.0m metric tonnes.

Mixed reactions have continued to trail the recent ban on activities of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra by a Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, September 20. Federal Government labeled the 'IPOB' as a terrorist group in Nigeria. While some Nigerians applauded the recent ban on IPOB by a Federal High Court in Abuja, many others condemned it. The Federal High Court granted an order declaring the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a terrorist organisation following an order which was filed by Abubakar Malami, the attorney-general of the federation on Wednesday, September 20.

Ugochi Ihezue, Miss Kebbi, on Saturday morning emerged the winner of the most beautiful girl in Nigeria 2017 (MBGN). Miss Kebbi Ugochi Ihezue She became the 30th MBGN after beating the remaining 35 other contestants to the crown. Miss Bayelsa came in as third runner-up, Miss Oyo came in as second runner-up while Miss Plateau came in as the first runner-up. Miss Kebbi and Miss Plateau will represent Nigeria in the Miss World and Miss Universe contests respectively. NASA is about to go on an extraordinary development which may already be in motion, according to  "Galaxy Monitor"  the NASA acting Chief Administrator Robert Lightfoot,  explains that the mission to go to  'Mars'  will take a developmental approach such as the one that built the International Space Station, in order to foster habitability for humans over time. The International Space Station for example is constantly undergoing new experiments, and adding new modules in the effort to make low earth orbit more habitable for astronauts. So far, the longest stay on the ISS is one year completed by American astronaut Scott Kelly. They plan on building civilization on the red planet (Mars), for human habitat to live on it. NASA has started the development of the new mars rover 2020, which will conduct the experiment to attempts the generation of breathable oxygen from Mars. Vice-Chancellors of university (VC) of Nigerian Universities met in Abuja on Thursday on the ongoing strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other matters. Professor Muftau Akanji  from Federal  University of Technology Minna described the strike as “very unfortunate”, saying that the industrial action had come “when many universities are trying to stabilise their academic calendar. For us in the FUT everything would have been normal this year”. He however pleaded with both the federal government and ASUU to settle their differences in the interest of the education sector, parents and students.
