On the day October 1st  1960 which was on a Saturday, Nigerians gathered at the Tafewa Balewa Square (TBS) to witness and partake in the celebration. The events was only celebrated in the western parts of the country as other parts of the country also celebrated this wonderful day. In the crowd were children, students, dancers (mostly cultural dancers), policemen, traders and many more. At that time not everyone had television sets like we do now, mostly radio sets which was kind of cool in those days whereby everyone will gather to list

Could this be World War III? - USA vs North Korea

Image
After the US President vowed to "totally destroy" North Korea if it poses a threat to the US or its allies, the North Korean leader branded Trump "mentally deranged" while his foreign minister remarked that Pyongyang could consider a hydrogen bomb test of an unprecedented scale on the Pacific Ocean. North Korean UN envoy said they will not bow down to international pressure or give up its nuclear weapons program. Donald Trump's united state envoy Nikki Haley said the time for talks is over despite China, Russia, and other members of the US administration claiming dialogue remains the main aim.  The United State military are in the area close to North Korea especially in Japan and close allies to South Korea.  There are almost 40,000 US troops serving in Japan, more than in any other country, and earlier this year the US Air Force lined up a huge array of helicopters, tactical fighter jets and surveillance aircraft in a show of force aimed

Image
This is a topic that has been going on and on especially here in Africa. According to our religious leader its better to abstain from sex before marriage. Sexual abstinence is the practice of refraining from some or all aspects of sexual activity for medical, psychological, legal, social, financial, philosophical, moral, or religious reasons. Well there are two ways to it. Abstinence from sex could be positive or negative at the same time, lets talk about the positive parts of sexual abstinence based on religion, it is wrong to have sex with someone that you not married too as it is considered a sin to God. In the religious aspect its considered "Fornication". Sexual abstinence can keep you from getting pregnant and protect you from STDs and all sort. What about the negative parts of sexual abstinence, I mean if dating a guy or a girl you'll want to know more about the person especially if the person is sexually sound. For instance as a girl after

REAL MADRID LOST THEIR FIRST MATCH

Image
Real have failed to win any of their first three La Liga home games for only the third time-finishing sixth on both previous occasions. Could Zidane get sacked before the new year? Ronaldo came back from a ban but Los Blancos still slipped to a shock loss at home to Betis that leaves them seven points off top spot. According  Goal , problems at home for Real Madrid. If the disappointing draws against Valencia and Levante had seemed bad enough, Wednesday's shock loss to Real Betis means Los Blancos are already seven points behind Barcelona in La Liga. And even with Cristiano Ronaldo back, Zinedine Zidane's side risk falling out of contention in the Primera Division. League titles are not decided in the fifth round of 38 fixtures and there is a long, long way to go. However, with La Liga won with 90 points or more in recent seasons, a deficit of seven at this early stage is alarming for a Madrid side that had started out as red-hot favourites after winning a Primera D

Vice-Chancellors of university (VC) of Nigerian Universities met in Abuja on Thursday on the ongoing strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other matters. Professor Muftau Akanji  from Federal  University of Technology Minna described the strike as “very unfortunate”, saying that the industrial action had come “when many universities are trying to stabilise their academic calendar.
