Wizkid makes history as he shuts down Royal Albert Hall

Wizkid made his Royal Albert Hall debut 2017 as part of the Albert sessions. His irresistible musical style, which combines rhythms from Afro-Beat, reggae, hip-hop and dance hall, speaks to WizKid’s vision of 21st century youth culture where ‘all the music of the world is coming together’.

The international Nigerian superstar made history when he sold out the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London last night as part of the organization’s Albert Sessions, a scheme that helps young world class artistes who haven’t headlined the venue before to have a shot.

Wizkid took his time but when he did, he shut it down. His one hour set took the crowd back to his beginnings with EME and through his ascension as Africa’s number one artiste. He also brought out former Mohits/Mavin star Wande Coal to share the moment with him. He finally performed Ojuelegba and the crowd went wild and he performed come closer though Drake didn't show up again, but the crowd didn't seem to care about that anyway!
