EKITI STATE GOVERNOR BEGINS 2019 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!

Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has started activities towards becoming the president of Nigeria in 2019.



The governor launched is campaign on Twitter and Facebook on Monday by putting his name and presidential campaign on both platforms.

According to Information Nigeria, his spokesman, Lere Olayinka said that the campaign has not been officially launched. He also said that what happened on Monday was the opening of the official Twitter and Facebook accounts on Monday.

"When we officially launch the campaign, everyone will know about it" he said.

Fayose indicated that he would approach the Supreme Court to determine his elogibility to contest the next governorship election following the court's judgement that his impeachment during his first tenure was a nullity.

Rapper Meek Mill sentenced to up to four years in jail

Meek Mill has been sentenced to between two and four years in prison for violating his parole with two arrests, one for fighting and another for reckless driving. According to the Guardian,  the Philadelphia rapper's real name Robert Williams  has been on parole since autumn 2009, following a spell in prison on drugs and weapons charges. In March this year, the 30-year-old was arrested after a fight in St Louis airport and in August he was arrested on a charge of reckless driving. Although both charges were later dropped, the judge said the arrests violated Mill’s parole. He was immediately taken into custody. Jay-Z was among those who reacted to the sentencing.
