WHY ARE THE RICH KIDS CONSIDERED HIGH AND MIGHTY AND THE REST ARE CONSIDERED LESS
In the society today, the way we live affects the length of our lives. It has been long believed that the 'Rich Kids' are considered high and mighty but the 'Middle class' and 'Lower Class' kids are been look down upon.
I decided to do a personal research on this particular topic and this has been happening centuries ago before the 21st century.
Economist, biologist, historians has confirmed the towering status of the high and mighty. According to Sir Roderick Floud a leading economic historian, some 200 years ago, differences in height between working-class and upper-class people were substantial.
In Nigeria today the comparison between boys from the slums of Ajegunle, Ikorodu, Yaba etc and boys from the Islands like Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island are the children of wealthy billionaires.
This comparison happens a lot between peers especially in school environments, whereby the teachers give special treatment to the rich kids and neglect the others. Many believe rich kids do better in school and they seem to forget that most of the successful people in our society today aren't from rich homes, some of them grew up living in uncompleted buildings or no buildings at all, some had to work to pay their own school fees and eat from the remains of yesterday.
This mentality affects children in schools, in a place whereby both classes are mixed, the 'Rich Kids' tend to oppress the other children affecting them psychologically, for instance some schools today give more punishment to the other kids.
The 'Middle Class' and 'Lower Class' kids are being bullied in their school environment and teachers or the management staff tend to overlook these things. They basically think low of this set of people, like they have nothing to offer the society, which is very wrong.
The 'Rick Kids' flaunt their various clothes, and bring gadgets to school like phones and tablets. A boy named Ayo met another boy named Femi, Ayo is from a rich family whereas Femi is not from a rich family but he is comfortable. One day 'Ayo' asked 'Femi what kind of car picks him from school, Femi responded by telling him that he goes home by himself, Ayo laughs at him and mocks him he then went ahead to say his dad sends a driver to pick him.
Femi comes late to school on a rainy day and he is being punished for coming late, whereby Ayo comes a late and he escapes punishment by mere reasons.
This discrimination should be stopped in schools, rich and poor kids should have equal rights in schools and favoritism should not be tolerated from anybody in the society. The 21st century mindset about these categories of children should change .
People should stop thinking the less children have nothing to offer in the society and they should be giving equal chances to show their worth in classrooms, sports, workplace and basically the society.
Say No To Discrimination.
