How I got stood up on a thursday

Hi, I am Seun Gabriel, this a true life story of how I got stood up in the mall on Thursday. This event is so painful I had to write about it.

So I have this female friend, I met her at my workplace though it's not like I work there I'm just an industrial training (I.T) student in the place. I am doing my I.T at LASUTH Ikeja as a Medical Biochemist. This female friend of mine is also doing her I.T there but as a Microbiologist from Landmark University. Her name is anonymous though because it has to be so I'll just call her 'Priscilla' for the sake of giving her a name.

Now to the story, I really was bored today as usual at work after the rain beat me silly and I was soaked, basically it is a rainy day today and having an umbrella is quite burden for me sha. My colleagues were all so cold today, there was no life in anyone today. 

So Priscilla today had plans of going down to the mall to chill and all, and she dressed so good I mean better than her usual. I decided that I'd come down to the mall later because I had some things to take care of at the office and I can't just leave like that. I and Priscilla are close, at least that's what and every other person around think.

Priscilla told me that she was going to go to the mall with someone, but I didn't ask for details though but she kinda agreed to me meeting her over at the mall then we could watch a movie. Priscilla was gone by 1:30 pm 😓😓😓 sha but I wasn't quite bothered then I called her number, she picked up and I was like "hey where you at?" she was like "she was there already and she is about to see the movie 'ISOKEN" and the movie is to be shown at 2:45 pm.

I was eager to leave work early so has to go and chill at the mall with Priscilla to relieve me from the 'Boredom'. It was 3:40 pm and I closed from work, normally I close by 4 pm and my lord it was still raining at that time, luckily at that time I was leaving a friend of mine was also doing the same and she had an umbrella 😏😏😏 cool right? So I got to the gate, crossed to the other side of the road and took a 'Keke Napep' down to 'Under Bridge', so I took a bus from there going down to 'Shoprite' at Ikeja .

In the bus I called my guy 'Tobi' thinking he was going to be able to make it there but he couldn't because he didn't go to work today 😓😒😒 then I thought to myself I'm gonna be alone with Priscilla and her friend then, I called her number though it was switched off but it was already too late to turn back now like the song says "Ain't no stopping us now".

I got to the mall and it was still very much raining, so I went in and was looking around for a miracle, the miracle being that I find this 'Priscilla girl' and her friend so along the line the miracle came by😆😆😆😆 I saw Priscilla as I was coming down the escalator. You wouldn't believe that her so called "Friend" happened to be another boy and I was like 'Oh shit!' 'WTF!' ''Did this just happen" basically my hopes died there, because when she said 'Friend' I thought she meant it to be a female though, you know she was asking for my whereabouts before her phone went dead.

It became awkward for me so I just put my hand out and shook him, I didn't even ask for his name basically I didn't give a shit so I looked at Priscilla gave a smile and all she could say was "This situation is awkward" blah blah blah, in my head I brought out a gun and shot the two of them there. 

So in order not to get too angry 'coz I was going to talk mehn 😝😝 giving the kind of person I am. I decided to take my leave then she said 'Are you not going to hug me' lol, do I look like I need a hug mehn, so I just said nah don't need it so I left the place and decided to climb the 'Escalator' I didn't know when I started running on the stairs lol 'coz it was embarrassing. I have an aunt who worked in 'Skye Bank' which happens to be in the mall, not like I was going to visit I just wanted to while away time, just for me to see them coming that way again😤😤😤 making me look like I was following them around the mall.

I didn't know when my legs took me to Skye Bank like it was reflex, then I saw my aunt and told her the whole story and everyone in the bank laughed at me including the 'Security Guard', I called Bae wanted to tell her by making her come over but then nah. So my aunt gave me ice-cream from 'Cold Stone' as consolation😏😏😏.

So that's how I spend my Thursday, sad right lol..... someone said it happens. Thank you for reading!
